Fire Damages Wayne Home Wednesday Afternoon: Radnor Fire Company

Before wet weather hit the region, a fire broke out at a Wayne home Tuesday afternoon.

WAYNE, PA — A house fire broke out Tuesday afternoon in Wayne, but luckily the fire was under control in short time.

According to the Radnor Fire Company, crews were called to a home on the 300 block of Windsor Avenue at about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Firefighters arrived and found a working fire at the home, the fire company said.

Soon after arrival, the fire was upgraded to a second alarm and crews opened part of the home to find the fire, the fire company said.

Shortly thereafter the fire was under control, according to fire officials.

The Radnor Fire Company was assisted at the scene by the Berwyn, Bryn Mawr, Malvern, Gladwyne, Newtown Square, Paoli, King of Prussia, and Merion Fire Company; as well as Marple Township Ambulance, Delaware County CID, and Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshall’s Office.
