Fire Destroys Delco Catholic School Wednesday Night

Our Lady of Angels Regional Catholic School in Morton was ravaged by a fire late Wednesday night. Luckily, no one was hurt in the blaze.

MORTON, PA – A Delaware County Catholic school was destroyed in a massive fire late Wednesday night.

The Our Lady of Angels Regional Catholic School in Morton was ravaged by a fire that broke out at about 11 p.m. Wednesday.

The fire was raised to three alarms shortly after it broke out, according to the Holmes Fire Company.

CBS Philadelphia reports a new boiler was installed in the school Wednesday before the fire broke out.

The school's gym, officer, and a statue of the Virgin Mary were saved by firefighters responding to the huge fire, according to NBC10.

"No one was hurt in the fire.For the present moment, please offer a prayer for our OLA family," the school said on Facebook. "We shall overcome, Angels."

There is no word yet on what exactly caused the fire.
