Another Fire At Cabrini Prompts Continued Investigation

Fires were set in the same dorm building back in December and, before that, racist messages were found in the same dorm in September 2017.

RADNOR, PA – Another fire was set in a Cabrini University dorm building recently and authorities are again looking into the incident after several dorm bathroom fires were reported back in December.

A fire was set in the bathroom of East Residence Hall on Feb. 6, according to Radnor Townshop Police

Police said the Feb. 6 fire is similar to previously reported fired in the dorm.

Three fires were reported in the same dorm building back in December, and before that in September racist messages were found scrawled on room doors in the East Residence Hall.

Police believed the December fires may have been tied to the racist messages.

Delaware County investigators have been called in to assist with the investigation.

"Cabrini is working with local authorities after the trashcan fire in a residential bathroom," university officials said in an email to Patch. "As the Radnor Police Department investigates, we remain focused on the safety of our students and have posted a Cabrini public safety officer in the impacted area."

The university said it will not comment on the incident as it is being investigated, per university policies.
