RADNOR, PA — Fourth of July activities around Radnor could have extra sparkle in 2026 for the 250th anniversary, or semiquincentennial, of the Declaration of Independence.
The holiday falls on a Saturday in the middle of a three-day weekend, July 3-5. To help you fit it all in on your Fourth of July calendar, Patch has put together a guide to fireworks and other celebrations in Radnor and the surrounding areas.

But eventgoers should be mindful of the heat. The region is facing what could be its hottest stretch in more than 10 years, according to the National Weather Service's Philadelphia/Mount Holly Office.
Heat index values between 100 and 110 degrees are expected during each day through July 4, possibly reaching 115 at times. The NWS recommends forgoing outdoor activities and staying inside with air conditioning.

But if you do go out, be sure to drink plenty of fluids, wear lightweight or loose-fitting clothing, and try to limit strenuous activities to the early morning or evening.

A time capsule will be buried in Philadelphia to be opened in 2276 on July 4. It contains a carefully curated collection of letters and artifacts reflecting the leadership, institutions, and communities that shape the country today. It will include contributions from all three branches of the U.S. federal government and submissions from each of the 50 states, Washington D.C., and five territories.
