Free Youth Suicide Prevention Program In Radnor Township
A child and adolescent psychiatry expert will discuss the sensitive topic at the Radnor Township Building. The event is open to the public.
RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — Suicide is second leading cause of death among youth in the United States and officials in Radnor Township want to help curb youth suicide by hosting a youth suicide prevention program later this month.
Matthew Wintersteen, Ph.D., Associate Professor and Director of Research, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, will lead a suicide prevention program on Monday, June 17 at the Radnor Township Building.
From 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Randorshire Room, Wintersteen will present national and statewide data related to youth suicide and address some myths related to this epidemic.

Wintersteen will review suicide prevention programs and several interventions to reduce suicide attempts and share a number of resources available to the public and answer questions from the audience.
