Get a "Smash" / "Make A Splash" for water safety
Smashburger Supports Water Safety with Fundraiser October 22, 5 - 8 pm

Get a “Smash” and “Make A Splash”! That’s at the heart of a fundraiser happening on Wednesday, October 22, at the Smashburger at the St. David’s Square Shopping Center. From 5 through 8 p.m. the restaurant is generously donating 20% of sales to support the Josias A. Sterling Aquatic Education Program held at the Ray and Joan Kroc Center pools of the Salvation Army in North Philadelphia.
Everyone in the area is invited to help this wonderful cause, simply by choosing to dine at Smashburger on October 22 during the fundraiser hours. There is no extra charge to help this charity. Come hungry and help change lives!
Since it’s inception in 2009, this program has provided scholarships for essential water safety training to 275 individuals, mainly from Philadelphia. The program is affiliated with the national Make A Splash water safety program. Money raised at the Smashburger fundraiser helps in this way:

- Drowning is the 2nd leading cause of childhood unintentional death for children under the age of 14
