GoFund Me Campaign Set Up For Injured Radnor First Responder
Doug Simpson was injured in a car accident while driving an ambulance in July and is unable to work.

One of Radnor Township's first responders is in need of some support.
Doug Simpson, a Radnor paramedic and fire fighter, was injured in a car accident when he was driving an ambulance on July 27.
Simpson's shoulder was severely injured in the crash and requires surgery to fix the multiple tears in his shoulder. The family said for Simpson, his wife Jennifer, and their 7 children, the surgery means the loss of half of Doug's income.

So the Simpson family is asking for some community support.
"My hope is that the community, our friends, and our families, can come together right now, and see them through this challenging time,"Joan Dalton said on the GoFund Me page set up for Simpson, who is her son-in-law. "My goal is to raise enough money to help with the mortgage, the food bill, and the utilities."

"Firefighter and paramedic Doug Simpson is one of those people everyone wishes they know - incredibly funny, hardworking, dedicated to his profession, friends and and especially his family," the Radnor Fire Company said of Simpson on its Facebook page. "He is an all around amazing man."
The fire company said Simpson is a former Radnor Fire Company employee and was serving as a part time firefighter and medic. Simpson was also the Fire Chief with the Newtown Square Fire Company in the past.
