Haverford Twp. Filling Numerous Vacancies

There are numerous board, committee, council, and commission, and even two solicitor positions, that need to be filled. Learn more here.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA – Haverford Township is looking to fill numerous vacancies on various township boards, committees, councils, and commissions, as well as searching for two new solicitors.

The township is taking applications for township solicitor and civil service solicitor.

Additionally, the following boards, committees, and commissions have vacancies that need to be filled:

  • Cable TV Advisory Board – four positions
  • Civil Service Commission – one position
  • Friends of the Grange – three positions
  • Health Advisory Board – one position
  • Historical Commission – two positions
  • Human Relations Commission – two positions
  • Ice Rink Advisory Board – one position
  • Parks and Recreation – one position
  • Planning Commission – two positions
  • RHM Sewer Authority –one position
  • Senior Citizens' Advisory Council – one position per Ward (appointed by each Ward Commissioner)
  • Shade Tree Commission – two positions
  • Vacancy Committee – one position
  • Vacancy Property Review Committee – one position
  • Zoning Hearing Board – one position

Al those appointed to the above positions will begin serving in January 2018, the township said.

Applications for all positions, including the two solicitor positions, now through 4 p.m., Friday, Nov. 4.

To apply, email a cover letter listing each position you are seeking. The email must also contain one-page summary why you seek the position, as well as a resume or summary of experience.

Emails must also contain your name, address, and phone number.

All documents are to be sent to rorg@havtwp.org. Hard copies can be mailed to Lawrence J. Gentile, Township Manager, 2325 Darby Road, Havertown, PA 19083.

All applicants must be available for a 15-minute interview. Anyone who does not appear for the interview will not be considered for the appointment, the township said.
