Head-On Christmas Eve Crash In Villanova Injures Several

Five ambulances were called to the scene of a crash on Church Road in Villanova Christmas Eve, according to the Newtown Square Fire Company.

VILLANOVA, PA — Several people were hurt in a head-on crash in Villanova Christmas Eve, according to first responders.

The Newtown Square Fire Company said crews were called to a crash with injuries on Church Road between Darby Paoli and Valley Forge roads in Villanova.

Before emergency responders showed up, dispatchers got more calls from the scene, reporting a head on crash requiring at least two ambulances.

The fire company, along with Radnor Township and Newtown Township police, showed up and three more ambulances were requested.

Radnor’s Medic 15 arrived and established Medical Command and triaged/prioritized patients for transport to different local hospitals.

Crews from Newtown Square assisted with patient care, traffic control and scene safety, including lighting and clearing debris from the area.

Assisting units included Radnor Medic 15, Berwyn Ambulance with two units, Riddle Hospital Medic 104 and Haverford/Narberth Medic 108.

The road was cleared within the hour.
