Help Keep Radnor Safe By Enrolling In The Citizen's Police Academy

The free eight-week class will give you a better understanding of police procedures and also help you keep your neighborhoods safe.

Radnor Township is now taking applications for people interested in helping keep the community safe and obtain a working knowledge of Radnor Township Police procedures.

The Radnor Township Citizen's Police Academy is a free, eight-week long course open to Radnor residents and businesses that offers classroom instruction and practical field exercises. After the eighth week's session, a graduation ceremony and reception will be held on week nine.

Each week's session is two to three hours long.

The citizen's police academy aims to give the public a better understanding of policing, which will help the public "enjoy a safer and closer relationship with their neighbors, and local government and police."

The course begins on Thursday, March 2 at 6:30 p.m. at the Radnor Township building, 301 Iven Ave., Radnor. The graduation ceremony will be held Thursday, May 4.

The hours are subject to change based on the course's needs.
