Charity Navigator, a nonprofit charity evaluator, recently ranked Philadelphia the 13th most charitable city in the U.S. - based on financial health, accountability and transparency. Out of the Philadelphia-area charities, HelpHOPELive tops the list. Charities are given a score out of 70, and HelpHOPELive maintains a four-star rating with a score of 68.80. HelpHOPELive engages communities in fundraising to help patients and families ease the financial burden of a medical crisis.
