Hero Cop Reportedly Saves Residents In Radnor Garage Fire

A job well done, Radnor Police Officer Stephanie Racht.

A Radnor Township Police Officer is reported to have saved some Radnor residents from a garage fire, according to Main Line Media News.

The outlet reports that while on patrol Tuesday night, Officer Stephanie Racht noticed a garage on fire at a home on Pine Tree Road. Racht acted quickly, evacuating the residents from the home.

"She acted quickly responded to residents and got everybody out. She was alert and aggressive and did what she needed to do," Radnor Police Superintendent William Colarulo told Main Line Media News. "Because of her, we avoided any tragedy."

The outlet reported Radnor Fire Department was called tot he scene at about 8 p.m. and had the fire controlled in about 30 minutes with the help of several area departments. The fire is reported to have spread from the garage to the home's den area, but the residents will be able to return to the home, Main Line Media News Reports.

The township is planning to recognize and honor Racht's heroic actions at the upcoming Radnor Township Board of Commissioners meeting Monday, the outlet reports.
