'Kia Boys:' Teens From NJ Busted After Main Line Car Break Ins
Radnor Police said six teens who call themselves the "Kia Boys" were taken into custody after car break ins and a brief chase with police.
RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — A group of teenagers who call themselves the "Kia Boys" were taken into custody by Radnor Township Police recently after they were seen breaking into cars and leading authorities on a brief chase, authorities said.
Police said five teens, all from Camden County, New Jersey, were charged with receiving stolen property, theft from cars, possession of instruments of crime, and related crimes after an early Saturday Morning incident. A sixth was charged with loitering and prowling at night, police said.
It all began when a resident saw two males using a screwdriver to get into a car at an apartment complex on the 400 block of East Lancaster Avenue early Sunday morning.

When officers showed up, the two ran into an idling car that sped off on Lancaster Avenue, leading police on a brief chase.
The vehicle tried to get onto Interstate 476 but crashed, and the occupants ran off, police said.

K9 units from Radnor and Haverford police found three teenage girls and took them into custody in a wooded area around Hillside Circle.
Then a resident on Kenilworth Road called police to say a man was in his driveway. Police arrived, taking the person, a teenage boy, into custody for loitering and prowling at night. Police said he was identified as a member of the "Kia Boys" by Camden authorities, but was not charged in connection with the car break ins.
Not long after, authorities in Camden told Radnor Police a missing teen's cellphone was tracked to Radnor. Police said that teen was known to Camden authorities for gang activity associated with the "Kia Boys."
Police found two more teen boys where the phone pinged. They were identified by the witness who initially reported the two people breaking into cars. Police said the two had wire cutters, screwdrivers, and a USB device that can be used to start certain vehicles.
Authorities in Camden were also able to identify all six teens via FaceTime, Radnor Police said.
Further investigation led police to learn the vehicle that crashed, a Hyundai, was stolen out of Philadelphia.
All six were released to adults and were charged, police said. Their identities were not provided.
