Lancaster Ave. Affected By Bridge Work Next Week

Crews will be working daily on the pedestrian bridge that will connect Villanova to the SEPTA platform.

RADNOR, PA – The right lane is scheduled to close on east and westbound Lancaster Avenue next week, according to PennDOT. The closure will accommodate ongoing work on the pedestrian bridge spanning Lancaster Avenue.

Closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7 through Friday, Aug. 11.

The lanes are set to close between Spring Mill Road and Ithan Avenue.

Motorists are advised to allow additional time when traveling through the work zone. The contractor’s schedule is dependent on the weather.

The work is part of a $3.7 million local project to construct a new pedestrian bridge over Lancaster Avenue to connect Villanova University and the SEPTA platform.

The entire project is expected to finish in December 2018.
