Lifelong Wayne Resident, Radnor Fire Volunteer Dies

Wayne lost a lifetime resident and active veteran and volunteer on Thursday, Sept. 27 when Robert "Bobby" Domenick died in his Lantoga Road home.

Domenick was married to his wife Marie for 58 years and had four children and 10 grandchildren, according to his obituary on Legacy.com.

In 2010 Domenick served as the grand marshal in the Radnor Township Memorial Day parade and ceremony. During World War II had six of their sons in the service. He was the youngest of 14 children, according to a 2010 article on Main Line Media News.

On Wednesday, Oct. 3 Domenick's body was take from Our Lady of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Strafford to Valley Forge Memorial Gardens in King of Prussia in Radnor Fire Company's 1954 Model B75 Mack Fire Truck (pictured in front of the church).

Villanova University's men's basketball head coach Jay Wright tweeted twice Wednesday, writing:

"RIP Bobby Domenick - you taught us how to love live and laugh hard! Forever in our heart and minds! #Villanova"

"Greatest collection of #Villanova family ever at Bobby Domenick funeral this morning – a great man loved by all!"
