Longtime Chef Brings New Café To Downtown Wayne

A local chef has renovated her catering space into a café, which opens this weekend.

WAYNE, PA — A local chef has renovated her Downtown Wayne catering space into a café, which will open this weekend.

Koren's Kitchen Café is opening at 8 a.m. Saturday on Louella Court, where Executive Chef Koren Draper has operated her catering kitchen.

With more than 15 years of experience in the industry, Draper's culinary passion has led all over the world to study cuisines in Mexico, Italy, Jamaica and more, according to her business's website.

Earlier this year, Koren's Kitchen opened a café at the Radnor Corporate Center office park. But the new café will be in a more central location at 11 Louella Court, near Lancaster Avenue.

Koren's Kitchen at Louella will serve breakfast, lunch and barista-crafted coffee.

"We offer breakfast sandwiches, avocado toast, fresh salads, handcrafted sandwiches, homemade soups, baked goods, and seasonal favorites," the business's website says. "We focus on quality ingredients, fresh herbs, wholesome proteins, and cooking with avocado and olive oils whenever possible."

Koren's Kitchen Café will open at 8 a.m. Saturday at 11 Louella Court.
