Longtime Main Line Police K9 Dies
Rocky worked major incidents, conducted explosive sweeps, attended the Democratic National Convention in 2016, and more in his tenure.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — A furry, retired member of the Radnor Township Police force has died.
Radnor Police announced the death of K9 Officer Rocky, who served the township with Officer Jennifer Cocco for more than 10 years.

"Rocky was more than a working dog — he was a protector, a partner, and a community favorite," police said. "He dedicated his life to keeping our community safe, specializing in explosive detection as an indispensable part of the Radnor K-9 Unit."
According to police, Rocky and Cocco covered major incidents, conducted explosive detection sweeps before NCAA basketball and football games, attended the Democratic National Convention in 2016, and were a familiar duo participating in community events.

"For ten years, Rocky worked side by side with his handler, Officer Jennifer Cocco, forming a bond built on trust and unwavering loyalty," police said. "To Officer Cocco, Rocky was not just a partner in law enforcement but a steadfast companion whose loyalty knew no bounds."
Police said Rocky was a friend, a trusted partner, and a beloved member of the Radnor Township family.
Rocky's death follows the deaths of K9 Officer Onyx, who died in December last year, and K9 Officer Bear, who died in September 2023.
