Cohen, 25, and Wilkins, 26, officially launched KÜDZOO, a smartphone app that rewards students for good grades, last year in an effort to leverage high mobile usage amongst millennials to address the need for an extra push inside the classroom.
Through KÜDZOO, Cohen and Wilkins see not only an innovative way to motivate students but a path to build a community-wide concern for education. The app currently has close to 500,000 active student users.
“Trevor and I are honored to be recognized by Forbes alongside such a talented group of young rising stars,” said Cohen. “We look forward to continuing to push students to do better in the classroom through innovation and technology.”
“It is in large part thanks to our incredible student users that we have been afforded the opportunity to join such an illustrious group of visionaries on the ‘30 Under 30’ list,” Wilkins added. “Motivating students to excel inside the classroom is our mission and we are excited to have the support of the business, education and technology communities as we continue to grow.”
Last month, KÜDZOO released version ‘2.0’, adding numerous features including new ways to earn rewards (by checking into school, sharing achievements and answering survey questions), social media functionality, a redesigned rewards shop, mobile phone number verification, and improvements to the grade submission feature.
About KÜDZOO
KÜDZOO is a free mobile application that engages students in their education by rewarding them for their academic achievements. The app leverages the relationship students have with technology, inspiring students across the country by making ‘hitting the books’ tonight relevant tomorrow. KÜDZOO turns students’ hard work in the classroom into real life rewards like deals and discounts at popular retailers and once-in-a-lifetime experiences, including internships, a one-on-one session with a Wall Street trader or the opportunity to meet a favorite athlete.
With over a half million users expected by early 2016, KÜDZOO is the mobile app where “ads are rewards” helping brands to reach this key demographic of 13-22 year olds as well as their parents.
KÜDZOO’s Co-Founders, Trevor Wilkins and Logan Cohen, are based in New York City. Students can download KÜDZOO for free on the Apple App and Google Play Stores.
