Wayne Man Charged In Main Line Stabbing

Nahun Montiel, 65, is in jail on charges of stabbing an acquaintance in a parking lot on Lancaster Avenue in Wayne.

RADNOR, PA —A 65-year-old Wayne man was arrested Tuesday on charges of stabbing of an acquaintance in a restaurant parking lot in the 500 block of West Lancaster Avenue, police said.

Nahun Montiel of the 100 block of Conestoga Road is in the George W. Hill Correctional Facility, Glen Mills, in lieu of $100,000 bail after being arraigned before District Judge David Lang, Newtown Square on charges of aggravated assault, possessing instruments of crime and related charges.

  • Police responded to a call of a stabbing at 9:30 a.m. in the parking lot next to Bertucci’s restaurant.
  • The victim, who was not identified, was taken to Paoli Hospital, where he was treated for stab wounds to his back and arm.
  • Police tracked down Montiel in his vehicle, and he was taken into custody.

Police said the victim and Montiel know each other and there is no danger to the community.
