Meet Radnor Township School District's New Teachers
New, first-year teachers and educational specialists participated in the annual induction program hosted by the district recently.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA – More than 20 new first-year teachers and education specialists participated in Radnor Township School District's annual induction program recently, as the 2018-2019 school year begins.
New teachers and several familiar faces were welcomed for the 2018-19 school year by district administrators, including Superintendent Kenneth E. Batchelor, School Board members Julia Bohnenberger and Amy Goldman, and Induction coordinator Tony Rybarczyk, on Wednesday, August 22, to kick off this year's Teacher Induction, the district said.
The district has been participating the induction program since 1987.

In the program, all first-year teachers and educational specialists are been required by the state to participate in an induction program, which is identified as "an essential first step to facilitate entry into the education profession and teaching to high standards."

During the event, which was held Aug. 22 and Aug. 23, the teachers heard from district administrators, met with mentors and participated in a variety of trainings, according to the district.

They also had the opportunity to go on a bus tour of the district, led by members of the Radnor League of Women Voters, the district said.
