More Wires Come Down In Radnor, Hundreds Of PECO Users Affected

After wires fell Monday morning, more wires came down Monday afternoon in Radnor, leaving more than 500 area PECO customers powerless.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA – More wires crashed to the ground and burst into flame Monday afternoon in Radnor Township, just outside Newtown Township, leaving hundreds of PECO customers without power.

Wires fell at about 3:30 p.m. on Earles Lane between Malin Road and East Chelsea Circle, just inside the Radnor Township border, according to the Radnor Fire Company.

While all emergency vehicles have cleared the scene, the road remains closed as PECO crews work to restore power to the roughly 532 customers who are affected by the outage.

PECO estimates service restoration by 7:10 p.m., according to its online outage map, which is available here.

The Radnor Fire Company thanked Newtown Township Police for aiding them with traffic control.

Earlier Monday at about 10:30 a.m., PECO wires fell on Eagle Road in Radnor, leaving customers without power and closing the road. That area's power has since been restored.
