New Villanova Eatery Opening In Mid March Names Head Chef

VILLANOVA, PA – Main & Vine, a new eatery that is on track to open in mid March in the former Avenue Kitchen location in Villanova, has announced who will be crafting its menu.
The soon to be open spot tapped Charles Vogt as the Executive Chef.
Vogt, 28, is a graduate of the Academy of Culinary Arts in Mays Landing, New Jersy.

Vogt honed his skills working under Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakaria, at the Water Club at Borgata in Atlantic City and had a long run at Robert Wiedmaier's Mussel Bar & Grille and Brasserie Beck in both Atlantic City and in the Washington, DC area.
He in the process of developing Main & Vine's menu, which takes a "fresh-from-the-vine" approach using natural ingredients in a more casual culinary format.

Diners can expect to see influences from France, Italy, Latin America, Asia, and the United States in the menu.
The Main & Vine team is also in the process of developing their own sourdough, which will be used for their signature pizzas.
"It has been great working with Charles on the development of our menu. His fresh approach to cooking and his elevated execution are exactly what we wanted in our chef," managing partner Jay Stevens said. "He shows the same attention to detail that I have come to love from the great chefs that he has worked with in the past."
Located at 789 Lancaster Ave., Main & Vine will be a northern California-focused restaurant and will be led by Stevens and Kim Strengari, two local food service pros, who have ties to eateries such as Morton's and Gypsy Blu.
