Alkis Marland passed away on March 6, 2012, age 68 in the Phoenixville Hospital, a resident of Phoenixville since 2005, formerly residing in Wayne. Born in Athens, Greece.
He received his BS in Math and Pre-Engineering, 1961 - 1963, his MA in Math and Computer Sciences, 1963 - 1968, and his MS in Engineering Administration, Business Administration, 1968 - 1971.
He was a member of the Church of the Saviour in Wayne, PA
Mr. Marland was a member of and involved with the following organizations, Rotary International of Wayne, the Financial Planning Association, United States Tennis Association, member of a Masonic Lodge in Dallas, TX.
Mr. Marland was married to the late Anita Louise (nee Malone), who passed away on March 27, 2003 after 32 years of marriage.
He is survived by his daughters Alyssa Marland of King of Prussia and Andrea (Karl) Weber of Royersford, also survived by his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kyle and Andrew Weber all of Royersford.
We will celebrate his life at Church of the Saviour in Wayne, PA on Friday, March 23rd, 2012. Close friends and family will be received starting at 1:00pm. The service and a light reception will follow.
Memorial gifts may be sent in his name to the Rotary International Club of Wayne, Scholarship Fund or the Gundaker Foundation of Rotary International.
