'Office' Star To Speak At Archbishop Carroll Virtual Graduation
Kate Flannery, who played Meredith on "The Office," will be the guest speaker at Archbishop John Carroll High School's digital graduation.

RADNOR, PA — A star of "The Office" and Archbishop John Carroll High School alumna will speak at the school's 2020 digital commencement.
Kate Flannery, who starred a Meredith on "The Office" for nine seasons, will serve as a guest speaker during the schools virtual graduation at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3.
"Kate has never forgotten her roots and great memories at Carroll where her acting career began," said Archbishop John Carroll High School, President Francis E. Fox ’77. "Our administration is most appreciative to Kate for addressing the strength and resiliency of the Class of 2020, their ability to make the best of a difficult situation, and the bright future ahead of them."

Flannery graduated from the school in 1982 and is an Ardmore native. She also attended Saints Colman-John Neumann School and earned a BFA in acting from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia before graduating in 1987.

After college, Flannery moved to Chicago, Illinois to study improv and was a member of the Second City National Touring Company and Annoyance Theatre. She also started a comedy lounge act called "The Lampshades" and has toured with Jane Lynch in her show, "See Jane Sing." Over the years, Flannery has appeared and starred in a number of TV shows and movies. Most recently, she was a celebrity contestant on Season 28 of "Dancing with the Stars" and joined the "Dancing with the Stars – Live Tour 2020" as a special guest.
