One Year Later, the Ground Stands Still

Do you remember the earthquake that was felt in Radnor?

Do you remember where you were and what you were doing on this day last year? Perhaps you might remember it better if the earth had been shaking. Well it was.

A 5.8 magnitude earthquake centered in Virginia rocked the earth as far north as Boston at 1:50 p.m. that Tuesday.

It was the first earthquake I ever experienced (followed shortly by the first hurricane, which resulted in a car accident and an overflowing sump pump — thanks, Irene). It took me a few seconds to realize what the rumblings on the roof were and why the kitchen cabinet doors were shaking.
