Over 80 Radnor Students Join National Honor Society

Eighty-three Radnor High School juniors and seniors were welcomed into the National Honor Society by last year's inductees at a ceremony on Oct. 24.

Members of last year's NHS class introduced each new member individually and reviewed some of his or her achievements before inviting the new member to the front of the auditorium to accept a ceremonial pin from NHS faculty advisors Jeri DiGirolamo and Sarah Pace.

After all new NHS members were ushered into the prestigious group, officers from last year's class lit candles held by each new member and all inductees recited the NHS Oath of Administration. Principal Dan Bechtold and English teacher Carl Rosin also spoke during the ceremony.

Students are eligible for membership in the Radnor chapter at the beginning of their junior year with a weighted cumulative grade-point average of 3.8 or higher. In addition to grade criteria, the chapter performs service to the school and community.
