Phil Ahr Elected Radnor Board Of Commissioners President

Former board president Elaine Schaefer was elected as the board's vice president, as well, even after stepping down from the presidency.

WAYNE, PA – The Radnor Township Board of Commissioners elected a new president at it's Monday, July 17 meeting. The vote comes on the heels of former board president Elaine Schaefer announcing her decision to step down from the role.

At its most recent meeting, the board elected Phil Ahr as its new president. The vote tally was 4 to 2.

Additionally, Schaefer was elected to serve as the board's vice president, again with a 4 to 2 vote.

Commissioners Don Curley and Richard Booker dissented in both votes.

Schaefer said as the Executive Director at The Schuylkill River Heritage Area she will need to spend more time focusing on that position, causing her to vacate the presidency.

Ahr thanked Schaefer for serving as president and said he will continue to address township issues with a bipartisan approach as he did when he previously served as president and vice president.
