Philadelphia Woman Assaulted Police In Radnor: Authorities

The Philadelphia woman is facing felony charges after allegedly kicking and spitting on Radnor Police officers on Dec. 13 in Wayne.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA – A Philadelphia woman is facing felony charges related to assaulting police in connection with a Dec. 13 incident in the Wayne section of Radnor Township, according to court documents and a media report.

Jamie P. Vandergeest, 24, of Philadelphia, was charged with six counts of felony aggravated assault, felony institutional vandalism, resisting arrest, simple assault, two separate disorderly conduct charges, and public drunkenness, court records show.

Vandergeest was arrested on Dec. 13 and was jailed until Dec. 20 when she posted 10 percent of $50,000 bail, records show.

The charges stem from a Dec. 13 incident at JD McGillicuddy's at 118 N. Wayne Ave. in the Wayne section of the township where she allegedly yelled at an employee of the establishment, struck a customer, and became combative with police when they arrived, according to Main Line Media News.

The outlet reports she kicked one officer in the chest and another in the face, spit on officers, kicked the patrol car, and urinated while in a Radnor Township Police Department holding cell.

Court records show she appeared for a preliminary hearing on Dec. 21.
