Phone Scammer Poses As Radnor Cops, Police Say
The caller told a resident that the Radnor Township Police had a warrant for his arrest when in fact no warrant existed.

RADNOR, PA – A Radnor Township resident got a call from police recently, saying he had a warrant our for his arrest. But the caller wasn't from Radnor Police at all.
According to police, a resident reported getting a call from the Radnor Police Department number.
The resident told police the caller spoke with an Indian accent and asked to speak with her husband, police said.

The caller then told the husband that he was calling from the police department and that police had a warrant out for his arrest, police said.
The resident hung up the phone and reported the incident to the actual Radnor Township Police Department.

Police told the victim that no warrants for her husband's arrest were issued and the call appeared to be one of the latest phone scams in the region.
Police are urging residents to not disclose any personal information should they receive a similar call.
Anyone who received such a call should hang up immediately and call 911 so authorities can verify the call and begin an investigation, police said.
