Radnor BOC To Appoint Ward 7 Interim Commissioner Monday
Radnor's Board of Commissioners could not agree on a replacement for the Ward 7 seat left vacant by Phil Ahr's resignation.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA – The Radnor Township Board of Commissioners are slated to vote Monday night on an interim commissioner to fill the Ward 7 seat that was left vacant by former commissioner Phil Ahr, who is facing child pornography-related charges.
The board attempted to elect an interim commissioner on Nov. 27, but with three board members being Democrats and three being Republicans, the efforts to fill the seat failed along party lines.
At the Dec. 11 meeting, the board will be joined by a vacancy board elector to help make a decision on who to appoint.

At the Nov. 27 meeting, residents Jane Galli, Alex Yannopoulos, Scott Simon, Sean Farhy appeared before the commissioners and made cases why they should be appointed. A fifth resident, Jonathan Heckscher, applied but was not present at the meeting.
Commissioner Don Curley nominated Galli, then Commissioner John Nagle nominated Sean Farhy for the seat.
All Republican board members voted for Galli, while all Democrats voted for Farhy, thus putting off the appointment to a later date.
