Radnor Cops Beef Up With New Special Operations Vehicle: Report

The new mobile special operations and command unit vehicle will help Radnor officials and emergency responders in all kinds of situations.

WAYNE, PA – Radnor Township Police have a new toy to play with. Well, it's not a toy. In fact, it's a state-of-the-art mobile command and special operations unit that will be deployed in all kind of situations to make responders' jobs a bit easier.

The truck replaces a police van with a 2001 model year that had 100,00 miles on it. That van will be sold at auction.

According to Main Line Media News, the new vehicle includes space for interviews, secure communications lines, a generator, computers, external lights for nighttime scenes, and three stations for officers to work at.

The $95,000 vehicle is a Ford Econoline with a 14-foot Supreme Body Back, the outlet reports.
