Radnor Elementary School SMART 5K Is April 24

Radnor Elementary School will host the 7th Annual RES SMART Run 5K fundraiser on Sunday, April 24. There will also be a one-mile fun run that day.

"The family-friendly event attracts hundreds of runners each year, with a scenic route through the adjacent St. David’s neighborhood that begins and ends on the Radnor Elementary School playground," according to information from the school district.

Race day events include a DJ, Kids Fun Zone and raffles for camps, classes and gift certificates from a variety of local fitness clubs and merchants.

"The goal of the RES SMART Run is to promote a healthy lifestyle for families and raise funds to support technology initiatives at RES. The run began as a fundraiser for Radnor Elementary School families, but has grown into a fun-filled event for the entire community, attracting hundreds of participants every year. The run is also the goal race for the RES 5K Club, which trains more than 100 students to run the 5K with their families," the district said.

Advance registration is $10 for students, $20 for adults, and $50 per family. Registration fees increase on race day. Advance registration will be accepted until Saturday, April 23. Click here to register.
