Radnor High Student Headed To 2016 International German Olympics

Junior Abigail Slate is one of only 14 students in the United States to advance from the first round.

Radnor High School junior Abigail Slate has reached the National Final Round of the International German Olympics 2016, which will be held in Chicago on Dec. 4 and 5.

Slate is one of only 14 students to advance from the first round, where 260 participants from the United States competed in the “Be the One International German Olympics” sponsored by the Goethe Institute, according to information from the school district.

“The all expenses-paid weekend in the Windy City for Abigail and her 13 fellow semifinalists is only one of the highlights in the second round of the competition. Not only will Abigail compete in reading comprehension, listening comprehension, speaking, writing and a group presentation, she will also enjoy the Christkindlmarkt and dinner on the 95th floor of the John Hancock Building,” a press release from Radnor Township School District said.
