Assistant Director of Finance

This is complex professional and administrative work responsible for administering various finance related activities including but not limited to the day to day general ledger accounting and processing of revenue and expenditures. Also responsible for managing the annual audit process and preparation and filing of financial statements and Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) and assisting in the annual budget preparation and review. The Assistant Director is a member of the Finance Department and reports directly to the Director of Finance. The position requires excellent organizational planning, negotiating, and diplomatic skills and some latitude for exercising independent judgment in carrying out essential job duties.

This is responsible and technical work in ensuring compliance with the Township’s building, housing, zoning and property maintenance regulations. Employees in this class are required to review plans and conduct field inspections for compliance with code requirements. This position investigates complaints and conducts routine inspections of dwelling units. The employee reports directly to the Director of Community Development. The work requires the employee have good knowledge, skill and ability in review of plans and permit application, the inspection of properties, and the enforcement of applicable codes.
Business Tax Administrator
This is complex professional and administrative work responsible for administering the Act 511 business tax program and all related activities for the program. The Act 511 tax program includes the Business Privilege and Mercantile Tax, the Local Services Tax and the Amusement Tax. The Business Tax Administrator is a member of the Finance Department and reports directly to the Director of Finance. The position requires excellent organizational planning, negotiating, and diplomatic skills and some latitude for exercising independent judgment in carrying out essential job duties.
Part-Time Meter Inspector
This is a part-time position reporting directly to the Supervisor of Parking and Auxiliary Services of the Police Department. Work involves patrolling assigned areas in the Township on foot to inspect for violations of meter/kiosk parking and other violations, which includes issuing traffic summonses to violators. This position on occasion will collect parking meter/kiosk receipts and requires regular collaboration and interaction with Township staff, regular contact with the general public, and a moderate degree of latitude for exercising independent judgment in carrying out many job tasks. The position’s hourly rate is $16-$20 and will be determined commensurate with education, skills and experience.
Public Works Laborer (Seasonal)
Work involves routine, heavy manual labor including the collection and disposal of solid household waste products, newspaper and other recyclable materials on designated routes. Other possible duties include routine, heavy manual labor duties for Highway Department, Parks Maintenance Department and leaf collection duties among other manual labor as assigned. The position reports to the Refuse Department Supervisor and requires the ability to occasionally exercise independent judgment.
