Radnor HS Holding "Empty Bowls" Fundraiser To Fight Hunger
Get a hearty meal and a one-of-a-kind bowl made by Radnor artists, all for a good cause.
Radnor High School students and community members continue to be "souper," as they will be selling handmade bowls and soup to raise money that will keep hungry people fed.
According to the district, the high school art club will hold its second annual Empty Bowls event from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3 at Wayne church, 210 S. Wayne Ave., Wayne.
The event will put a bread and soup in a student- and community member-made, one-of-a-kind bowl for just $10.

"Empty Bowls is an international grassroots effort created by the Imagine Render Group to fight hunger," the district said. "The basic premise involves a simple meal of soup and bread, with handcrafted bowls exchanged for a cash donation. The bowls serve as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world."
Many of the hand made bowls were made at the district's first ever district wide Martin Luther King Jr. Day of service, the district said.
The district said about 200 bowls were ready for the Feb. 3 event.
