Radnor HS Student Paper Honored For Drug Dog Program Coverage
Radnorite, the student-run paper at the high school, was honored in the 2018 Student Keystone Press Awards for their ongoing coverage.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA – Radnor High School's student journalists who make the Radnorite an integral newspaper for the school community earned state honors recently for their ongoing coverage of a drug dog program in the school.
The Radnor Township School District said the Radnorite, the high school's student newspaper, earned Honorable Mention in the 2018 Student Keystone Press Awards, which recognizes high school and college journalism that provides relevance, integrity and initiative in serving readers.
The paper was recognized in the "Ongoing News Coverage" category for its series on the district's implementation of the drug dog program at the high school in Spring 2017, according to the district.

Juniors Ben Chanenson and Nick Camposano and 2018 graduates Victoria Vale and John Hydrisko contributed to the series.

Winners were notified in mid-February and honored at the Student Keystone Press Awards Luncheon during the America East Media Business and Technology Conference, on March 14 in Hershey, the district said. A plaque was awarded to each winner for first place, and certificates were awarded for second place and honorable mention.
"We at the Radnorite strive to generate community through publishing work of interest to the local youth culture," the paper says on its website. "We value keeping current in the marketplace, pushing on the boundaries of traditional journalism and exploring unique mechanisms of promoting and distributing our work–always with an eye to inform, engage, and challenge our readers."
