"Grace consistently uses her artistic talents to create images that convey messages of friendship, unity, and in this case, hope," RHS art teacher Tracey Dean said.

Middle and high school students across Delaware County were invited to submit an original drawing for the contest inspired by one of the following themes: Hope, Peace, Love, Not Keeping Secrets, Life is for Living, Support, Friendship, Connections, Communications, Being a Role Model, Health Ways to Deal with Stress and Alternatives, the district said.

Poster requirements included size, orientation, and medium.

Pieces were judged on message, creativity, uniqueness and artistic ability.

"This was a challenging contest due to size, color and material restrictions," Dean said. "Grace found a way to meet the criteria, using it to her advantage to create a beautiful and inspiring work of art."

The DCSPATF functions to reduce the loss and suffering caused by suicide and suicidal behavior. It is in the business of prevention, intervention, and post-intervention program implementation, facilitation, and promotion.

Congratulations, Grace Yang!
