Radnor Memorial Library Renovations, Construction Break Ground

Ground is finally broken after budget concerns caused delays.

The Radnor Memorial Library had ground broken on its renovation project this weekend after delays earlier this year.

The library said construction is set to begin soon at the original 114 W. Wayne Ave. location.

The library is temporarily being housed at 110 W. Lancaster Ave. Suite 230 and the renovations saw delays due to the work plans being over budget.

The new plan features less expansion than previous iterations, but the expansion hopes have been put out as alternates bids, which will show exact cost figures as well as allow the library and township to prioritize spending. Kimmel Borgett architects said the main addition to the library is still present in the new design.

The library said it will keep the public updated on renovation and construction progress.
