Radnor Middle School Hosting Auction For Hurricane Relief Funds

WAYNE, PA – While national news has seemed to shift away from hurricane coverage, the Radnor Township School District community has not forgotten those affected by this summer's devastating storms.

With that in mind, the Radnor Middle School is hosting an online auction to help support the school's ongoing Hurricane Relief Effort.

The bidding is open now through Friday, Nov. 24.

There are 40 items up for auction, including:

• a Philadelphia Eagles helmet autographed by Defensive Tackle Fletcher Cox;
• two men’s basketball tickets and reserved parking to the Duke v. Florida State game at Duke University;
• two Philadelphia Orchestra tickets during the 2017-18 season at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts;
• a family portrait session with Jessica Parrish Photography;
• and the opportunity for a Radnor student to lead the Pledge of Allegiance at a Radnor School Board Meeting.

The Radnor Middle School Hurricane Relief Effort is raising funds for three schools severely impacted by hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria: Attucks Middle School (6-8) in Houston, Texas; Horace O’Bryant School (Pre K-8) in Key West, Florida; and Carmen Benitez School (Pre K-6), LasPiedras, Puerto Rico, according to the district.

The students’ goal is to raise $30,000, the district said. Funds will be divided equally between the three schools, according to the district. Reaching the goal would provide $10,000 per school, or $20 per student for a school with 500 students, the district said.

Direct cash or check donations can be made payable to "Radnor Township School District."

Donations can be dropped at off at the middle school office or mailed to the middle school at Radnor Middle School, 150 Louella Ave., Wayne PA 19087.
