Radnor Middle School Hosting Breakfast With Santa Dec. 10

Admission is free in honor of the Radnor High School Scholarhship Fund's 50th anniversary.

Radnor High School Scholarship Fund’s annual Breakfast with Santa is set for Saturday, Dec. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Radnor Middle School cafeteria, according to the district.

The annual event will feature a full breakfast featuring eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast, pancakes, and beverages. Kids will be able to enjoy activities such as cookie decorating, face painting, balloon artist creations, games and visiting with Santa Claus himself.

In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Radnor High School Scholarship Fund, admission will be free this year with donations welcome, according to the district.

Children from preschool to eighth grade are invited to create gingerbread and candy houses at home and bring them to the Radnor Middle School cafeteria by a.m. on the day of the event. Representatives from Spring Mill Bread Co. will be on hand at 10 a.m. to judge entries in the Gingerbread and Candy House Contest.

The Radnor High School Scholarship Fund was founded in 1966 to provide financial aid to deserving graduates of Radnor High School for post-high school education, according to the district. Since 1966, the fund has awarded over 950 scholarships totaling $2.7 million.

Recipients attend a wide range of educational institutions including universities, colleges, Delaware County Community College, and schools specializing in music, art, culinary training, etc. Most recently, 30 members of the Class of 2016 received needs-based scholarships.
