Radnor Middle School Raises Nearly $13K For Hurricane Relief

Three schools, one in Houston, one in Florida, and one in Puerto Rico will be getting more than $6,000 each thanks to Radnor Middle School.

RADNOR, PA – The Radnor Middle School community recently came together to support three schools ravaged by hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria.

Through various fundraisers, including an auction, bake sales, and other efforts, the RMS community generated a whopping $12,842.52 to be divvied up between the three schools, according to the Radnor Township School District.

That means Attucks Middle School (6-8) in Houston, Texas; Horace O’Bryant School (Pre K-8) in Key West, Florida; and Carmen Benitez School (Pre K-6) in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico will each receive $6.421.26.

RMS assistant principal Dr. Douglas Kent spearheaded the fundraising effort, according to the district.
