Radnor PD Urges Vigilance Amid Suspicious Incident Reports

As more reports of potential child luring and suspicious persons emerge in Delco, police urge residents to be observant and vigilant.

WAYNE, PA — As Delaware County seems to be experiencing a rash of suspicious persons and child luring attempts, Radnor Police are urging the public to stay vigilant at all times and provided an update on a recent incident in the township.

Police said they are working with other area police departments to investigate a suspicious person who was reportedly staring at a young child in Odorisio Park over the weekend.

While police continue to look into the incident, they said no new information is available.

According to police, at about 10 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29, a resident was in Odorisio Park with her daughter riding bikes.

A white Hispanic man was in the park and staring at her daughter, police said.

The resident confronted the man, and he then got into a white Jeep Cherokee, fastened his seatbelt, but then sat in the vehicle, continuing to stare, police said.

Police said the resident left then came back later and the man was gone.

Residents are reminded to be aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious persons or activities they see.

Anyone who sees a suspicious person should call 9-1-1 immediately and take notice of clothing descriptions, vehicle information including the registration, as well as any additional identifying information about the person and report it to the police.
