The 2025 starting salary for a newly appointed police patrol officer with the Pennsylvania Act 120 Certification is scheduled to be $88,096.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — Radnor Township Police are hiring, and the deadline to apply is coming up quickly.

The department is accepting applications now through Jan. 6, 2025.

The 2025 starting salary for a newly appointed police patrol officer with the Pennsylvania Act 120 Certification is scheduled to be $88,096. All applicants appointed as a police patrol officer are eligible for a hiring bonus of $5,995.00 upon the successful completion of their one-year probationary period.

A full salary police patrol officer base salary will be $117,461.00 with a competitive benefit plan, inclusive of a retirement pension.

A written examination test will be administered in the cafeteria at the Radnor High School, 130 King of Prussia Road in Radnor, at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025 and 8 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025. Applicants who get a passing score on the written examination will go on to take the physical fitness test and oral examination, which will be held in accordance with a schedule to be established by the Civil Service Commission for applicants who pass the written examination.

Applicant may be refused examination or, if examined, refused certification as eligible after examination, if they are incapable of performing all the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation, is a habitual substance abuser, is guilty of any crime involving moral turpitude, or has been dismissed from public service for delinquency or misconduct in office.

There is a $35 fee to apply.
