Radnor Police Investigating Paving Scam

A reisent said a crew came to his residence and pressured him into paying for driveway paving.

Radnor Township Police are investigating a deceptive business practice that occurred back in April.

According to police, a paving crew knocked on the door of a 400 block house on Gulph Creek Road on April 19 this year.

Police said the resident told them the crew claimed to have been in the neighborhood on another paving job and had leftover paving material.

Police said the resident agreed to have his driveway re-coated at a lower price than the crew offered initially.

The resident told police he felt pressured by the crew to accept the deal, police said.

Police are investigating the legitimacy of the company in question and are asking any residents who may have interacted with this crew to contact detectives at (610) 688-0503 or detectives@radnor.org.

Radnor Township requires all solicitors to posses a township issued Solicitor Permit which should be visible to the consumer.
