Radnor Police Participating In 1st Race For Peace Summit Saturday
Race For Peace summit will focus on race and policing in a collaborative environment.
Eight police departments in the Philadelphia area will participate in the first Race for Peace Summit Saturday in Phildelphia.
The summit will tackle the issue of race and policing at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, 56th & Vine streets.
This marks the first-ever regional summit that brings together members of law enforcement, clergy, government and citizens to hold candid conversations about race and policing in a collaborative environment.

Radnor Township Police will join the summit, which begins at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
"Communication, understanding and trust are forged during times of peace, not during times of conflict and stress," a description of the summit says. "The Race for Peace Committee comprises representatives from Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties who are actively working together to strengthen the relationship between law enforcement and the communities they serve."

The summit will feature a panel discussion with law enforcement officials, faith leaders, community leaders, and businesses leaders.
The summit will also include a role play exercise and discussion.

- Lower Merion Township
- City of Philadelphia
- Tredyffrin Township
- Upper Darby Township
- Upper Merion Township
