Radnor Police Visit With Wayne Elementary Standout Students

Students at Wayne Elementary School who showed themselves to be respectful, caring, safe, and responsible were recognized for their behavior recently with a special visit from Radnor's finest.

According to the Radnor Township School District, Radnor Police Department's Lt. Christopher Flanagan, Sgt. Anthony Radico, and Officer Michael Cook had lunch with select first, second, and fifth grade students on Wednesday, Dec. 7.

The students got the special visit after being named winners on the school's Swarm Board, the district said.

For their good behavior, students earn Swarm Boar tickets during the week and those tickets go to a "Hive Bucket" in the students' classrooms. Every Friday the classroom Hive Buckets have tickets drawn from them and the selected ticket get a place on the Swarm Board

The district said when the roughly 200 spots on the Swarm Board are filled, students are randomly chosen to get a special incentive to keep up their stellar behavior and to instill similar behaviors into classmates, the district said.

This year, students were treated to a mini-assembly with the Radnor Fire Department and lunch with the Radnor Township Police Officers, the district said.
