Radnor Run To Affect Township Traffic On Oct. 29
The 40th Annual Radnor Run 5k could cause "significant traffic delays" as runners wind their way through the area, Radnor Township said.

RADNOR, PA – The 40th Annual Radnor Run is set for Oct. 29 and participants will be helping fight lung disease by joining the event. However, the run will likely have a negative impact on traffic in the area and we have details on how it may affect your travels that day.
The township said the run will "pose significant traffic delays in the areas on and surrounding the course" from about 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 29.
Radnor Township Police and event volunteers will be handling traffic and safety concerns as runners pass through each section of the course, which are listed below.

Drivers are urged to use caution on Oct. 29 and plan for increased travel times as they should expect significant traffic delays in the areas surrounding the course and at the township building.

The race course begins and ends at the Radnor Township Building, 301 Iven Ave.
Iven Avenue will be closed from the Radnor Crossing Apartments to Conestoga Road and only local traffic will be let through at times that are safe and when large groups of participants are not on the street, the township said.
The course route is broken down below, courtesy of Radnor Township, so drivers can be aware of where to expect runners:
Runners will head down Iven Avenue, cross Conestoga Road to Church Road then continue on Church until it becomes Brooke Road.
At the end of Brooke, runners will turn left onto Darby-Paoli Road then turn right into the Willows Park.
Runners will head through the park and back to Darby-Paoli.
Then, runners turn right before turning left onto Newtown Road.
The course then heads up Newtown, left on to Abrahams Lane, and on to Lesley Road where runners will turn right.
Upon reaching Parkes Run Lane, runners will turn left and go back to Abrahams where they will turn right making their way to Church and turning right.
Crossing Conestoga again, runners will make their way down Aberdeen Avenue, turning right on to Orchard Way and again on to Brookside Avenue.
Finally, runners will turn left onto Iven and head for the finish line passing the Radnor Township Building and ending at Encke Park.
