Radnor Schools To Carry Narcan: Report

Do you think schools should carry the opioid overdose-reversing medication? Some argue it encourages drug use in schools.

WAYNE, PA – Radnor Township School District is taking steps to combat potential overdoses in its schools, an unfortunate reality, by including Narcan to its medication policy.

The district recently worked on adding the opioid overdose-reversing drug to its list of stocked medications in light of the growing opioid epidemic that is plaguing communities nationwide.

According to Main Line Media News, the district physician will write a standing order to allow “responsible personnel” to give Narcan to anyone suspected of experiencing a drug overdose.
