Radnor Schools Closing For Long-Term Coronavirus Closure Training
The Radnor Township School District said it will close Monday to train teachers in the event of a long-term closure due to coronavirus.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — The Radnor Township School District said it will close schools to students next week to train teachers for a potential long-term closure due to the novel coronavirus.
According to the district, school will close Monday, March 16 for teacher in-service training and professional development to be prepared for the possibility of an extended closure.
Teachers and students will not have to make the day up later in the year and all after-school activities scheduled for Monday will go on as planned, the district said.

As Delaware County deals with one of Pennsylvania's 12 coronavirus cases — eight of which are in nearby Montgomery County, two in Lower Merion Township specifically — the district said it is conducting deep cleaning in all facilities daily.
The district has also laid out its pandemic plan online here. The plan's stages are monitoring, limiting, postponing, and closing. Currently, the district is in the monitoring stage.

Fourteen-day quarantines are mandatory for
- any staff member and/or student with a confirmed case or living with someone with a confirmed case of COVID-19;
- any staff member or student who has traveled to/from CDC-designated Level 3 and 4 areas.
Additionally, a 14-day self-quarantine is suggested for anyone living with someone who traveled to/from CDC-designated Level 3 and 4 areas and is asymptomatic.
