Radnor Students Donate Refurbished Laptops To Philly School

Radnor High School's Microsoft Registered Refurbishers Club spent months wiping hard drives and installing programs for the Philly school.

WAYNE, PA — A computer club at Radnor High School recently put their skills to good use by donating dozens of refurbished computers to an elementary school in Philadelphia, the Radnor Township School District said.

The Radnor High School Microsoft Registered Refurbishers (MRR) Club donated 75 refurbished laptops to Willard Elementary School in Philadelphia on Jan. 20.

The MMR Club spend months of wiping hard drives clean and re-installing software such as Windows 10, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Reader on the computers, according to the district.

Additionally, the club donated 10 printers.

Members of the club purchased the installed software through Microsoft.

"MRR program is for small and midsize refurbishers across the globe who want to supply refurbished personal computers pre-installed with genuine Microsoft software to local consumers and businesses, as well as qualified charitable organizations," according to Microsoft.

The Radnor MRR Chapter was founded in 2005 at Radnor Middle School and moved to Radnor High School in the summer 2007.
